I'm thinking of upgrading my phone, and I'd like to get one that's good for reading...I mean my basic need is to read contents on internet,pdfs,ebooks etc..Plz..don't tell me to buy a kindle, although Reading on a Kindle is a wonderful experience....but i like to love reading off of these bright, vivid screens.My budget is $370.Thanks for any help suggestions

I didn't have 3G turned on but my data usage for today was 27MB. Later I found out I forgot to turn off background data. I wonder if having background data turned on would also use data even I'm not connected to 3G. Is that true?

SO, Im like the biggest geek ever..... and I seriousily look up everything and i want to look up so many things when Im on the go.. and I also get bored very easy.... so I decided I wanted a Smartphone which would solve all my wants even though they are pretty much needs to me... you wont understand unless if you know me... again i am a giaant geek I found one for 1 cent and I would pay the extra $30 for the data plan.. but till they are like Im not ready for you to get one.... wHy canyt I get one?of course Im not an eight yearold they drive me crazy too I got my first phone when I was 12 and it know has a cracked screen because recently it fell out of my stupid pant's pockets the ones I never wear anymore cause my phone never fit in them anyway and it randomly had a software bug that makes my speaker not work that at t cant fix.. and always freezes and doesnt pick up calls.. but im 13 now and would like one because I rarely have time at home to do hw or anything for that mtter so it would help with my schoolwork...... and im not one of those stupid 13 yearolds who use the internet to thier advantage and play temple run all day... i use it to learn new things and eail Larry Page....
If I buy an unlocked smartphone and insert my sim card will I have to get a data plan for AT&T?
If I were to buy an unlocked phone and insert my sim card, would I have to change my plan so that it would have a data plan? Currently I have a non smart phone and my contract still has about a year on it. I just want a better phone and was considering a smart phone. Is it possible to get one unlocked and not pay for a data plan?

I am planning to buy an iPod Touch 8GB 4th Generation a Nokia Asha 302 smartphone or a BlackBerry Curve 9360 this month. I am confused in the options. iPod Touch 8GB 4th Generation has a lot of applications and voice video conferencing over wi fi apps and Nokia Asha 302 smartphone has Skype, Facebook, WhatsApp and more. BlackBerry Curve 9360 has no voice video conferencing over wi fi applications and is a chatting phone only. So please suggest me which option should I choose? Thanks,Arsalan.
What would be a good texting and non smartphone kind of phone?
A few to a couple months ago I got a sony ericsson walkman phone that was used for $40 off of ebay and then maybe a couple months ago the screen broke on it. I have had both that phone and the samsung propel before but I am not sure if I should get a new cellphone that is the same like the ones I have used before or if I should do something else. Should I get a completely new phone, get a phone like the ones I have had before, or should I get a different phone off of ebay amazon that would be cheaper? Or something else? I am looking for a phone that doesn't use a data plan or any kind of internet that is a good texting phone...
Nexus One Smartphone randomly disconnects from wifi.?
I switched to xfinity last Sunday. My smartphone's wifi connection keeps disconnecting. I know this doesn't happen on my brother's ipod touch. My phone is a HTC nexus one. I'm using a WRT54GL router.Are there any settings on my phone or router that I should change?
Smartphone for a reasonable price?
What's a good smartphone at a reasonable price that has good battery life? After previously owning an iPhone I'd want much better than the battery life that gave me. Looking at a HTC Desire S currently, is the battery life on this any good? Also what's the Blackberry torch like? I never have liked Blackberrys but the new one looks pretty good. I'm looking for a phone that'll cost me around 150 or less second hand on eBayThanks
HELP CONVINCING PARENTS FOR IPHONE/SMARTPHONE?
I am 13 years old and I really want an iphone smartphone. The problem is my parents won't pay the 30 dollars a month that these phones require for data. They think it's a repeat of technology because I have a laptop, an itouch, and a kindle, and recently until I lost it, a phone. My old phone was just a basic phone and ALL of my friends have smartphones and mostly iphones. I have an itouch 3rd gen so it's getting old and doesn't have a camera or anything. It also has been starting to freeze, but otherwise I love that thing. I would love to have an iphone and I can transport my apps and songs onto. Anyways I lost my previous phone which doesn't help with my situation. Everyone in my school has an iphone or a smartphone. A smartphone or an iphone could help me with educational purposes, and it would eliminate more electronical devices to carry around. My parents just don't wanna hear it because of the 30 dollars a month. They don't mind the phone or the cost of buying it, but they just don't really want the extra 30 dollars on their bill I have verizon . Another problem is I have an older brother and I know he should really get one before me, and then he would want one too and it would be 60 dollars a month extra.. I lost my phone and I need one now, and I kinda want to wait for the iphone 5. If I get the iphone 4S for 30 dollars with verizon you only get 2g of data as appose to 4g of data with a 4g android smartphone? Is that true? If you have any news on when thats coming out pleasee tell me. I'm an A student accross the board, and I feel they don't really reward me like they do when my little sister by a year does well in school. They pay her everytime she does good on a test PLEASE do not answer by saying I'm spoiled or anything and I should just suck it up, but right now I have NOTHING and I need a phone to use Thankyou
How to make a SmartPhone work without a Data Plan?
I don't use internet. All i use is text messaging and the phone to make calls. I do like the smartphones because they are slim and sleek and they have a touch screen. Is there anyway i can purchase a smart phone and make it work without the data plan? I am currently with AT& T.

Hey Everyone... i have a samsung galaxy mini and im planning to buy another phone cuz the galaxy mini sucks. im a net surfing guy i always use my smart phone to browse the web, only problem is it lags a lot its driving me nuts... so im planning to buy a galaxy nexus, one of the best smartphone out there. BUT my playstation 3 broke...im a gamer, i play video games all the time, im thinkng of buying xbox360. the problem is... i dont have enough money to buy a galaxy nexus and xbox at the same time. what do you guys think i should buy first?
